By giving us your Certificate of Residence you can qualify for our lower In-State (Resident) tuition rate.
- Many counties have their own Certificate of Residence Affidavit and Application. Look up your home county Chief Financial Officer / County Treasurer and complete their Certificate of Residence Affidavit and Application.
- Otherwise, use this:
- At your home county office, ask them to notarize your application and submit it to them.
- They will then provide you with your Certificate of Residence.
- Send your Certificate of Residence to the OCC Student Accounts Office before registering, or bring it with you when you register.

Certificates are valid for one year from the date of issuance and a new one must be submitted after the current one expires in order to continue receiving the In-State (Resident) tuition rate. Students who do not submit a Certificate of Residence within the timeframe outlined below will be charged the non-resident tuition rate.
