Onondaga Community College's chapter of international honor society Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) welcomed more than 140 new members during its fall induction ceremony. The event was held October 24 in Storer Auditorium.
Event speakers included OCC President Dr. Casey Crabill who congratulated inductees on their accomplishments. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 to be eligible for induction. Chapter Advisor Dr. Annie Tuttle reviewed PTK students' accomplishments during the past year which resulted in OCC's chapter being named third best in the world. Chapter president Maddie Bohrer also spoke, telling students how becoming involved in PTK made her OCC experience more fulfilling. Music Professor David Rudari, D.M.A. led the OCC Singers in the National Anthem and the Phi Theta Kappa Song. They were joined by pianist Grace Norton.
