Retired Professor Andrew Schuster in the Gallery
The ceramics of retired Professor Andrew Schuster are on display in the Gallery beneath Storer Auditorium. Schuster taught at OCC for 39 years before retiring.

Four decades ago Andrew Schuster came to Onondaga Community College from Philadelphia with a plan. "I was going to stay here for just one year and wound up staying for 39. I met and worked with some of the most wonderful people here."

During his time at OCC, Schuster was an Art professor who specialized in ceramics. He retired two years ago. Now his work is on display in the Gallery beneath Storer Auditorium. The exhibit is titled "Vessels & Other Ideas."

Schuster returned to campus recently for an Artist Reception. "It means something more to me here. I exhibit all over in places like Philadelphia and Barcelona. This is an opportunity to give back and closure for my time here."

"Vessels & Other Ideas" is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The final day of the exhibit will be Thursday, November 7.
