Onondaga Community College paused to remember the 9/11 terrorist attacks during a brief ceremony outside the Whitney Applied Technology Center. President Dr. Casey Crabill offered brief remarks and paid tribute to alumnus Wendy Faulkner who lost her life on that day.

OCC Associate Vice President of Student Engagement Rebecca Hoda-Kearse, who was working in Manhattan on the day of the attack, reflected on her experience. "I think it's very important to remember this day. We need to keep that memory alive and remember that time is precious, relationships are important and we need to take care of each other. When we wake up in the morning and go to bed at night we should appreciate our loved ones and take each day as a precious moment in time," said Hoda-Kearse.

OCC Music Professor Dr. David Rudari performed the National Anthem and God Bless America during the ceremony. First responders from the Onondaga Hill Fire Department and OCC's Department of Campus Safety and Security were in attendance along with members of the campus community.
