Meg Hart
Meg Hart played for OCC's Women's Soccer team while earning her Nursing degree. She's pictured in the Nursing suite in Ferrante Hall.

Meg Hart started taking OCC classes during her junior year at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School as part of the Distance Learning program. The technology allows students to learn from college professors while seated in their high school classes. By her senior year she was coming to campus every day, finishing work toward her diploma, and earning credits toward her associate degree in Nursing. "I've always loved science, I'm very compassionate, and I love to care for people. It made Nursing the right choice for me. It's such a rewarding profession and the program here was great. All of the professors were always available to help in any way."

During her time on campus Meg was a member of honor society Phi Theta Kappa, worked for the YMCA assisting with child care, and played for the Lazers Women's Soccer team. She completed work toward her associate degree in May and plans to pursue a bachelor's degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
