Agreement with Medgar Evers College
Requirements
Eligibility Requirements:
1.) Onondaga Community College (OCC) students interested in matriculating to Medgar Evers College (MEC) through the Direct Admission Program must first complete the program inquiry form, which will be housed on OCC's website, along with MEC's.*
2.) Students must complete an eligible program of study at Onondaga Community College in the semester immediately preceding their desired entry term at Medgar Evers College.
3.) Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.25 in their college coursework to be granted admission to Medgar Evers College as part of this agreement.
4.) Each student who remains eligible during their time at Onondaga Community College and successfully submits the application to Medgar Evers College will be eligible for the Medgar Evers College CHAMPSS Program. This Program will provide up to 2-years of support, including: financial support of up to $3,500/semester, book vouchers, and metro cards. To be eligible, students need to enroll in a full-time course load.
5.) Students must remain in good academic standing (academic and otherwise) with Onondaga Community College.
Credit Evaluations
Students will receive transfer credit for courses taken at Onondaga Community college according to the equivalency list. To receive credit for a course, a student must have earned a "C" or better. A status of ("I") or Pass ("P") will not be considered for transfer.
*Students that graduate from OCC and were not aware of the program inquiry form may still apply to Medgar Evers under the terms of this agreement. All students need to meet the remaining eligibility requirements #2-5.
